POSTIDENT System
Revision of Sections for Retrieving Identity Results and Fraud Suspicion Reports
To enhance user-friendliness, the sections for identity results (visible to users with the Portal Result Data role) and fraud suspicion reports (visible to users with the Portal Fraud Manager role) have been revised as follows:
- Redesign of the Search Mask
The search mask for searching identity results has been redesigned as follows:
1. Integration of Advanced Search Fields into the Main Mask with a More Compact Layout
Previously, several search fields were hidden in the default view of the search mask and could be displayed (and hidden again) via the "Advanced Search" button. This was done to keep the user interface clear. By using a two-column layout, the advanced search fields have now been integrated into the main mask, eliminating the need for an additional click to use these fields, making all search options immediately visible to the user.
2. Separation of the Search Mask into two search modes
Since a process number directly identifies a process, entering a process number alongside other search criteria makes no sense. The search mask has therefore been split into two search masks: a single-element search mask where you can start a search directly by entering a process number without additional search criteria, and a search mask where you can find the remaining search criteria. The latter is the default search mask displayed when accessing the identity results and fraud suspicion reports sections. You can switch between the two masks using the two newly introduced buttons: Process Search with Process Number and Process Search with Search Criteria.
3. Integration of approximate search as standard
Since Release 22.0, users can perform an approximate search (wildcard search) using a placeholder. With Release 23.0, the search for approximate matches of the entered search parameters becomes the standard behavior, without the need to enter placeholders. An exact search for precise matches of the search parameters is still possible by selecting the checkbox "Search Only Exact Results". 4. Replacement of the control element for selecting billing numbers (ClientIDs)
The control element previously used in the search mask to select one, several, or all billing numbers (ClientIDs) has been replaced with an alternative control element, which offers advantages for customers with a high number of different configurations. The billing numbers (ClientIDs) can now be selected via checkboxes in a dropdown menu. The complete list of billing numbers (ClientIDs) can be efficiently searched and restricted by entering the billing number, ClientID, or short name (or parts thereof). By default, all billing numbers (ClientIDs) are selected when the page loads.
- Integration of download options into the Result List display
To maximize the space available for displaying search results under the search mask, the form elements for selecting download options have been moved to a pop-over control element, which can be toggled on and off via a click. By default, the option "Result PDF" is selected. If you wish to download identification data and/or image files and determine the format of the downloaded identification data, you can do so in the mentioned pop-over control element. We plan to introduce individual user preferences for download options with Release 24.0, allowing you to configure a default setting for download options that deviates from the system standard.
- Introduction of filter criteria to restrict the Result List
From Release 23.0, the result list of the search can be further restricted using the filter criteria "Procedure", "Identity Status", and "Identity Substatus". By clicking "Reset Filters" or removing individual filter criteria, the result list can be expanded again.
POSTIDENT by AutoID
- Addition of new Substatus Reason
With Release 23.0, we introduce the new substatus reason 124 "Digital manipulation". This appears in the combination 761 "declined" / 11 "Fraud suspicion" / 124 "Digital manipulation". The new substatus reason accounts for the ongoing examination of digital manipulations (e.g., deep fakes), which are now differentiated by the new substatus reason. The documentation in the Standard Connect & Result Ident REST API Guide 2 Result will be updated accordingly with Release 23.0.
- Introduction of Notification Webhooks for Review Needs
With Release 23.0, we introduce the sending of webhooks for the identity statuses 710 and 720 (both "review pending"). If webhooks for statuses of the type "Notification" are configured for you, you will receive a webhook upon reaching statuses 710 or 720 from the release. The documentation in the Standard Connect & Result Ident REST API Guide 2 Result will be updated accordingly with Release 23.0.
POSTIDENT by Online Identification Function (eID)
- New Substatuses and Substatus Reasons
As announced in our communication on 02.10.2024 to business customers using the eID procedure, we will simplify the status model of the eID procedure in two steps. POSTIDENT Delivery
- Introduction of new Substatus Reasons
With Release 23.0, we introduce the new substatus reasons 340 "Case declined due to return address data in digital provisioning by business customer that is not expected due to other configuration" and 341 "Delivery not possible: Recipient cannot be determined", which appear in the combinations 309 "declined" / 25 "Problem with digital provisioning (data quality)" / 340 "Case declined due to return address data in digital provisioning by business customer that is not expected due to other configuration" and 309 "declined" / 26 "Delivery of shipment not possible" / 341 "Delivery not possible: Recipient cannot be determined". The documentation in the Standard Connect & Result Ident REST API Guide 2 Result will be updated accordingly with Release 23.0.
Status 340 is set when a shipment-specific return address is provided in the request XML, even though the use of a central return address is configured for you. If you wish to switch from a central return address to shipment-specific return addresses, please contact the POSTIDENT service team to adjust your configuration.
POSTIDENT Apps and SDK
SDK:
- The POSTIDENT SDK will additionally be provided as a compiled SDK version (iOS and Android). Business customers can thus integrate an SDK version without having to provide extended development effort.
- The compiled SDK version does not allow insight into the provided code (the previous SDK can be used for this purpose)
- The compiled SDK is specially equipped with enhanced security and hardening measures
- Documentation for integrating the compiled SDK will be provided
- Support for SDK version 2.1 will be discontinued
Video chat:
- The "Place of Issue" field will no longer be displayed to users in the video chat process and thus will no longer be recorded.
Online Identification Function (eID) with Photo Upload:
- To use the online identification function (eID) with photo upload, only the POSTIDENT apps can be used. Therefore, the option to use external card readers when the photo upload function is activated will be removed.
Comprehensive:
- Improved support for the camera lenses of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max
- The new POSTIDENT app icon now offers a better view in dark mode and adjusts the icon colors to the user settings
