Here you will find form you require if the person entitled to a pension lives abroad and the pension is transferred to the account held by a trusted person, e.g. spouse, parent or other third party at a German financial institution.
This form is not required for joint accounts that are also held in the name of the person entitled to the pension.

Here you will find the form you require if you (the person entitled to the pension) live abroad and the pension is transferred to an account in the USA or Canada.

A transfer (direct deposit/ dépôt direct) to an account in the USA or Canada is only permissible if you are the sole account holder and also have sole power of disposal over the account. We can only transfer pensions to joint accounts held by spouses and when payments are authorized per signature by both spouses.

Exceptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as an exception, we can waive confirmation of payment authorization through your bank. In this case, please send us a copy of a bank statement from this bank account (not older than 30 days) along with a declaration of payment and an authorization of payment. In this exceptional situation, we will also accept transmission of the documents by fax (+49 221 5692-778) or e-mail sent to: w.ausland@deutschepost.de.
