If you live abroad and receive a pension from Germany, you may be required to provide a proof of life. In this case, you will receive a request together with the pension adjustment notification. If you do not receive such a request, you do not need to take any action.
Please note:
If you receive multiple pensions with one request, you must provide a proof of life 2026 for each pension.
- The proof of life 2026 is necessary to ensure that your pension payments continue without interruption.
Deadline:
Your proof of life 2026 must reach us by 31 July 2026.
You have two options for providing your proof of life:
Digital Proof of Life 2026: The Digital Proof of Life 2026 can be completed easily and free of charge from home.
- Life Certificate 2026: If you do not use the Digital Proof of Life 2026, please complete the Life Certificate Form. You must have the form certified by an authorized body and return it to us by post.
Digital or paper?
The method you choose for the proof of life 2026 will automatically be adopted for the year 2027.
