Offsetting Emissions

das GoGreen Logo Our goal is to completely reduce CO₂e emissions*. Where this is not yet possible, our GoGreen service, established in 2007, retroactively compensates for shipping emissions by investing in certified climate protection projects – known as offsetting.

CO₂e-compensated letter shipping with GoGreen is included at no extra charge. You can also add GoGreen for your advertising and press shipments as well as goods.

Reducing Emissions

Das GoGreen Plus Logo We reduce shipping emissions by additionally investing in structural changes for CO₂e reduction (insetting). When shipping with GoGreen Plus, this insetting ensures that no or very few greenhouse gas emissions are generated in our nationwide logistics network, e.g., through the use of biogas or electric trucks.

With the new CO₂e sustainability report, we offer you, as a business customer, transparency regarding the CO₂ emissions generated in national goods shipping for your DHL shipments. Based on this, you can take responsibility for creating your company's CO₂e footprint and CO₂ balance.

*Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is just one of many climate-damaging emissions. In addition to carbon dioxide, there are other greenhouse gases responsible for climate change, including methane (CH₄), fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases), and nitrous oxide (N₂O). To compare the effects of different climate gases, the "Global Warming Potential" is determined and converted into so-called CO₂ equivalents, or CO₂e.
