Climate protection from the start – new standards on the mail market

By offering GoGreen for all letter mail products and GoGreen Plus for hybrid mail as of July 1, 2022 – and at no extra cost to customers – Deutsche Post has set new standards on the German mail market. Go with us into a green future! Choose the good or better way: offset or actively avoid the carbon emissions generated by the delivery of your letter mail. Starting now, GoGreen Plus is an integrated part of all hybrid mail items, and uses carbon avoidance methods to help customers protect the climate when sending letter mail.

Carbon offset with GoGreen

As early as 2007, we were the first postal and parcel service providers in Germany to offer a climate-friendly delivery option – GoGreen – in which the CO₂ emissions from transport are offset by investments in internationally recognized climate protection projects. Today, we’ve gone even greener. As of 2022, all letter mail items transported by Deutsche Post are offset automatically!

Carbon avoidance with GoGreen Plus

Deutsche Post is now the first postal services provider in Germany to introduce "carbon insetting" into its service portfolio –
GoGreen Plus – in which we avoid CO₂ emissions in our own operations instead of offsetting them externally. This free service is available for all hybrid letters that are sent using E-POST entry products or PrintPLUS.

GoGreen: Easy and convenient for our customers

Thanks to our fully integrated GoGreen service, the transport of all domestic letter mail and all international letter mail, advertising mail and press products is now climate-friendly.
