Registered items - Questions and Answers
Registered Items
- What are the benefits of using Registered Items?
-
Registered Items guarantee you an especially reliable proof of delivery for letters, postcards and literature for the blind (as well as Blindensendung Schwer/higher-weight literature for the blind).
Every detail is documented - when and where you posted the item, as well as when, how and to whom the item was delivered.
- What are the differences among the various Registered Item options?
-
With REGISTERED ITEMS Deutsche Post's delivery agent hands over the item to the recipient, to his/her postal proxy or another authorized recipient.
The delivery agent asks the recipient to confirm receipt of the item with his/her signature.
Senders wishing to receive the original hand-written delivery confirmation slip must order the special service ADVICE OF DELIVERY.
REGISTERED ITEM ADVICE OF DELIVERY is always the first choice when sending important documents and when delivery and the observance of deadlines need to be legally proven.
If the REGISTERED ITEM is to be delivered explicitly to one person in particular, the sender should order the special service DELIVERY TO ADDRESSEE ONLY.
REGISTERED ITEMS EINWURF is the solution for those senders for whom a confirmation of delivery from Deutsche Post suffices. The REGISTERED ITEMS EINWURF are placed in the mailbox, post office box or other mail receptacle and our delivery agent confirms this with his/her signature.
