Roll-like form
The "roll-like form" special format deals with Großbrief or Maxibrief items within the minimum (length 100mm, width 70mm) and maximum dimensions (length 353mm, width 250mm, height 20mm or 50mm, respectively). The dispatch of roll-like forms as letters is possible if:
- For oval profiles, the ratio of the long to short diameter is at least 2:1 (height / thickness = shorter diameter up to 50mm) or
- Circular profiles are equipped with a firmly attached sleeve, at least 150 x 150mm.
Items may be flattened at the ends like a tube.
Creative form
The "creative form" special format deals with items, which do not have either a rectangular or a square contour (heart-shaped cards for example).These creative forms must be dispatched in an envelope. The price is based on the size of the envelope.
Exception:
"Beer coasters", which have a square shape with a minimum dimension of 125 x 125mm, may also be sent without an envelope as a Großbrief.
Bottle mail
Dispatching so-called "bottle mail" as a letter is possible, if the body of the bottle (excluding the neck) is rectangular and flattened and meets the minimum dimensions of length 100mm x width 70mm.
Flattened means that the body of the bottle is not round, but rather flat (like a hip flask for example) and the bottom of the bottle is therefore oval. The dimension of the bottom should be in a 2:1 ratio, that is, the length is twice as long as the width.
"Bottle mail" must be shatter-proof.
Maxibrief Plus
(> 1,000g). Items with this special format can be sent for an additional fee of EUR 2.20 (calculation as: Maxibrief EUR 2.40 plus additional fee of EUR 2.20 equals EUR 4.60), if:
- The maximum dimensions do not exceed length 600mm, width 300mm, height 150mm or
length + width + height = 900mm (but not more than 600mm in any dimension) and - The maximum weight of 2,000g
