Digitalmarke, the digital stamp - the modern way to frank

Digitalmarke, the new digital stamp, is printed directly at postal retail outlet sales counters and placed on your mail items. There's more to this little label than just the price of postage. Along with the date of posting and the outlet ID, Digitalmarke also features special encrypted data that makes it 100% counterfeit-proof. Similar to those already implemented in PC franking, the stamp's two-dimensional barcodes are automatically scanned at the mail centers for authenticity. Digitalmarke can be used in combination with special services such as Registered items with just an additional imprint. Shipment tracking - either via Internet or by using the call center - is also possible with this option. Digitalmarke can be used on all items that can otherwise be franked with postage stamps.

When it comes to the classics special services - Registered items for example - Digitalmarke proves to be quite a simplification. Until this new digital innovation, postage stamps still had to be used for franking in addition to the separate label containing the identification code. Now with Digitalmarke the postage is integrated right into the special service label, e.g. the registered item label. From now on out items will be needing one and only one label.
